Bali is more than just a destination; it is a global epicenter for holistic wellness. For the discerning traveler, the ultimate Bali experience often involves staying in a private luxury villa—a personal sanctuary tucked away in the jungles of Ubud, perched on the cliffs of Uluwatu, or nestled amongst the rice paddies of Canggu.
But a beautiful villa is just the container. To truly unlock the regenerative power of the island, you need to fill that space with intention.
At ADDA YOGA Bali, we specialize in transforming these exquisite architectural spaces into sacred wellness studios. We don’t just send a teacher to your door; we curate a complete private yoga experience tailored to the unique energy of your environment and your personal practice goals.
We have had the honor of facilitating hundreds of private sessions across the island’s most stunning properties. In doing so, we’ve mastered the art of logistics, ambiance, and personalized service.
We invite you to browse this photo gallery—a visual journey from dawn to dusk—showcasing 10 of our most inspiring private yoga setups. Let these images serve as proof of our commitment to bringing the highest quality yoga experience directly to your private sanctuary.
The Golden Hour Awakening: Sunrise Sessions (6:30 AM – 8:00 AM)
There is a unique magic to the Balinese sunrise. The air is cool, the world is quiet, and the Prana (life force energy) is at its most potent. Our sunrise setups are designed to gently awaken the body and set a grounded intention for the day ahead.
1. The Infinity Edge Awakening
Location: Cliffside Villa, Uluwatu Vibe: Minimalist, expansive, breathtaking.

The Setup: For this session, we utilized the dramatic lines of the villa’s architecture. We positioned the mats at the very edge of the infinity pool to create a sense of merging with the horizon. The focus here was on Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) to greet the new day. The simplicity of the setup allows the view to do the heavy lifting, ensuring the clients feel expansive and limitless.
2. Jungle Canopy Pranayama
Location: Riverside Estate, Ubud Vibe: Lush, immersive, vibrant green.

The Setup: This villa featured an incredible cantilevered deck seemingly floating above the jungle floor. We arranged a circle of meditation cushions and bolsters for a session focused on Pranayama (breathwork) and meditation. The goal was “forest bathing”—immersing the senses in the sounds of nature to quiet the “monkey mind” before moving into a gentle Hatha flow.
3. Rice Paddy Grounding
Location: Traditional Villa, Pererenan/Canggu Vibe: Earthy, serene, authentic Bali.

The Setup: To connect our clients with the element of Earth, we set up directly on the grass next to the rice fields. The dew on the grass and the smell of damp earth provided an incredibly grounding experience. This setup is perfect for clients seeking stability and a connection to the local agricultural rhythm of Bali.
Mid-Day Vitality & Flow: Daytime Sessions (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
When the sun is high, the island’s energy is vibrant and active. Our daytime setups are designed to harness this heat, focusing on energizing flows, alignment workshops, or dynamic group sessions for retreat-style gatherings.
4. The Poolside Power Flow
Location: Modern Architectural Villa, Seminyak Vibe: Chic, energetic, bright.
The Setup: This session was all about building heat (Agni). We utilized the clean lines of the pool deck for a dynamic Vinyasa Flow class. We ensured plenty of hydration stations with infused water were nearby. The bright environment is perfect for an invigorating practice that burns off stagnation and boosts endorphins.
5. The Open-Air Bale Pavilion
Location: Luxury Compound, Nusa Dua Vibe: Traditional luxury, shaded, breezy.
The Setup: Many high-end villas feature a traditional “Bale” (pavilion). These are perfect for midday sessions as they provide shade and natural cross-ventilation. Here, we set up a full workshop environment with blocks and straps to focus on precise structural alignment in Asana (postures), allowing clients to safely deepen their practice out of the direct sun.
6. The Group Retreat Sanctuary
Location: Large Estate, Kerobokan Vibe: Community, connection, spacious.

The Setup: ADDA YOGA often facilitates private wellness days for corporate groups or wedding parties. For this large estate, we created a “pop-up studio” on the main lawn. The semi-circle arrangement encourages Sangha (community connection), ensuring everyone can see the instructor while feeling part of the group energy.
7. Minimalist Zen
Location: Concrete & Glass Villa, Canggu Vibe: Ultra-modern, distraction-free, focused.
The Setup: Sometimes, the best environment is a climate-controlled one. For clients sensitive to heat, we transform spacious indoor living areas into cool yoga sanctuaries. By clearing furniture and curating the space, we create a distraction-free zone perfect for focusing on internal awareness and Drishti (focused gaze).
The Sunset Surrender: Evening Sessions (5:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
As the day winds down, the focus shifts from doing to being. Our sunset and evening setups are curated to facilitate deep release, nervous system regulation, and a transition into restful sleep.
8. Ocean View Restoration
Location: Beachfront Villa, Seseh/Canggu Vibe: Dramatic, colorful, restorative.

The Setup: This is the quintessential Bali moment. We timed this session so the final relaxation (Savasana) coincided with the sun dipping below the horizon. The practice was a gentle Restorative Yoga session, using props to support the body so clients could fully surrender to the stunning visual display of nature.
9. Candlelit Yin & Fascia Release
Location: Private Villa Garden Courtyard, Ubud Vibe: Intimate, sacred, quiet.
The Setup: As darkness fell, we transformed a garden courtyard into a luminous sanctuary using safe, ambient lighting. This environment is ideal for Yin Yoga, where poses are held for 3-5 minutes to target deep connective tissues and fascia. The low light encourages an inward focus, moving the body into the parasympathetic (rest and digest) state.
10. The Sound Healing Integration
Location: Rooftop Terrace, Uluwatu Vibe: Vibrational, transcendent, luxurious.
The Setup: The ultimate luxury add-on to any private villa booking is a Sound Bath. We transported delicate crystal and brass singing bowls to this rooftop terrace. Following a gentle movement practice, clients lay under the stars while the sound vibrations facilitated deep cellular healing and relaxation.
